Wildlife Asia works with exceptional conservation organisations across Asia.
These organisations bring the relationships, knowledge, cultural understanding and long-term commitment that effective conservation requires.
Our job is not to replace that expertise. It is to help it thrive.
Partnership
Some of our relationships have developed over many years and involve close strategic and operational collaboration. We may work together on program design, fundraising, donor relationships, technical support, organisational development and long-term conservation strategy.
In other cases, our role is deliberately lighter. We provide funding to an experienced organisation with strong systems and expertise and allow them to lead implementation.
The level of involvement may differ. The principle does not: local organisations lead.

Aceh, Indonesia
Forum Konservasi Leuser (FKL) works to protect and restore the extraordinary forests and wildlife of the Leuser Ecosystem. Wildlife Asia has worked closely with FKL for many years, supporting wildlife protection, research, ecosystem restoration and community-led conservation across this globally important landscape.
Aceh, Indonesia
HAkA works to protect Aceh's forests through advocacy, environmental monitoring, community engagement and stronger environmental governance. Wildlife Asia's long-term collaboration with HAkA supports locally led efforts to safeguard the Leuser Ecosystem and ensure that communities have a strong voice in decisions affecting their forests.
Kawthoolei / Myanmar
KESAN works alongside Indigenous Karen communities to protect forests, biodiversity and cultural landscapes while strengthening community resilience and sustainable livelihoods. Wildlife Asia's long-standing collaboration with KESAN supports community-led conservation grounded in Indigenous knowledge, local governance and the connection between people and place.
West Java, Indonesia
The Javan Gibbon Center rehabilitates and returns endangered Javan gibbons to protected forests in West Java. Wildlife Asia has supported the program over many years, helping rescued gibbons move from rehabilitation to life back in the wild while supporting conservation education and the long-term recovery of the species.
Funding and donor support
We also support exceptional conservation organisations delivering specialist and locally led programs across Asia. In these relationships, our role is often deliberately lighter — providing funding and donor support while our partners lead the conservation work.
Indonesia · West Kalimantan
Planet Indonesia works with rural and Indigenous communities to conserve biodiversity while strengthening livelihoods and community resilience. Wildlife Asia supports its community-led conservation work in West Kalimantan.

Freeland works to combat wildlife trafficking and protect threatened wildlife across Southeast Asia through law enforcement support, investigations, training and behaviour-change initiatives.

Katala Foundation works to conserve threatened wildlife and habitats in Palawan, combining species protection, research, habitat conservation and engagement with local communities.

Mabuwaya Foundation works with local and Indigenous communities to conserve the critically endangered Philippine crocodile and the freshwater ecosystems on which wildlife and communities depend.

YIARI works to protect Indonesian wildlife through rescue and rehabilitation, habitat protection, wildlife crime prevention, conservation education and collaboration with communities and law-enforcement agencies.

Species on the Brink supports conservation action for some of Southeast Asia's most threatened species, helping direct resources and expertise toward preventing extinction.
